Fitting Instructions for Cobra Strikers

Caution: We recommend Cobra shin guards be fitted under adult supervision. Hot water, hot pan/stove, and hot shin guards can be hazardous.
Do not over heat or leave in water too long.
Important: Read all instructions carefully before molding shin guards. Pay special attention to time and temperature instructions to assure a valid warranty. These instructions assume you are using the Cobra Sleeve shin guard anchoring system.
Step 1: Using a Cobra sleeve with the seams showing, simply pull the hourglass-shaped sleeve on over dry foot and ankle until the top of the sleeve is just below the knee. The vertical seam should run down the back of the leg and the horizontal center seam should be positioned above your ankle where you want the bottom of your shin guard to be.
Step 2: Put 1" of water in the bottom of a large pot/pan and bring to a boil. Place one guard in the boiling water with the plastic side face down. Leave the shin guard in boiling water about 1 minutes or until it is soft and pliable.
Step 3: Using a spatula, lift guard out of the water and place on a dry towel. Gently wipe off any excess water. Immediately place the shin guard on the leg with the bottom of the guard touching the mid-seam of the sleeve just above the ankle. With the guard still warm and pliable pull the lower half of the sleeve up over the guard. The guard should now be sandwiched between one layer of the sleeve underneath and another layer folded over the top. Use your hands to form the guard to the contour of your leg. Once the guard is shaped to the leg, leave the shin guard in the sleeve and allow shin guard to cool.
Step 4: For maximum comfort and fit remain standing while the guards cool. Guards will mold to the exact contour of your leg. Leave guards on for a total of 5 to 10 minutes. If your Cobra shin guards shift excessively during a game you may need a smaller pair of sleeves.
Notice: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND HEATING COBRA SHIN GUARDS IN A MICROWAVE OVEN DUE TO UNEVEN HEATING THAT CAN OCCUR. DAMAGE DONE TO COBRA SHIN GUARDS AS A RESULT OF A MICROWAVE IS NOT COVERED BY OUR WARRANTY!
Please note! Because of the patented remoldability of this product, prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause loss of custom fit and/or damage to your Cobra shin guards. Please do not leave in hot car, near hot stove, heating appliance, etc.
